Greece 2016.
Hungary, Serbia and Makedonia closes their border to thousands of people running away from their countries, breaking an ancient migration route, the “Balkan route”.
Along the Makedonian border barbed wire, men, women and children start gathering in refugee camps where NGOs, volounteers and activists challenge the people smugglers mafia.
Echoes tells the story of the day before the eviction of the Eko station, the last big indipendent refugee camp in northern Greece, a limbo where the despair of an uncertain future contrasts with a vital and determined resistance and where, through the frequencies of a pirate radio station, words and rebel songs echoes in the silence imposed by the forthress Europe.
